Well, well, well...what can I say except it is now over! Okay so at least the project itself is over. Jaxon still has a few more merit badges to earn before his board of review.
I do have to admit though that his project was pretty dang cool. Jaxon was in charge of making 400 crosses for a Fallen Soldiers memorial. The crosses represent each Florida born soldier who died in Afghanistan or Iraq serving our country.
A memorial service was held at the local Lutheran church on May 20th and Jaxon was asked to participate in the program by leading the congregation in the pledge of allegiance. After the program, Jaxon was interviewed on the news.
We are so thankful to all the friends (and Grandpa) who have helped in this project.
We are also thankful to the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice
in order to serve this wonderful country.
