Trip to Kuala Lumpur

The girls had a soccer tournament at ISKL, International School of Kuala Lumpur, so we decided to make a weekend out of it. Aaron, Jaxon and I drove down (about 3 1/2 hours) on a Friday afternoon. The girls drove down earlier with their team.

The girls both played really well and it was a lot of fun to watch and cheer them on.

We went to church at the Kuala Lumpur Branch on Sunday. It was full of expats so it was kind of like being back in the United States...just a smaller group.
The photo above is me with Shelley Hawkes, a Jacobsen cousin.
That afternoon we took a short drive over to the Batu Caves.

It is a little scary walking up and down the steps to the caves because there are monkeys everywhere!

To be in line with their modest dress code, we had to wear these skirts over our clothes.
Dress code doesn't apply to the men!

I took a photo of Melynn only because I really wanted to capture the monks behind her.
We ate at Johnny Rockets and the employees were performing a dance for us :)
That evening we took a tour of the Petronas Towers.

Had to take a photo of the world's largest vending machine :)
On our last day in KL, we made sure to make a stop at Krispy Kreme and then IKEA.
