Field trip to Kolmården

I had the opportunity to help chaperone a school outing with the 5th grade class recently. We visited Kolmārden which is a combination of a zoo, a few amusement park rides, dolphin show and many parks to play in. The kids had a great time!

Once we got into the park we ventured over to the Safari ride to see the animals.

Nordic Network 2014

Melynn participated in Nordic Network this year. It is an event where 4 international schools compete against each other in different sports. One school is from Oslo, one is from Gothenburg and the other 2 are from Stockholm. Melynn competed in soccer and an 800 meter relay race.

Melynn ran the first leg of the relay faster than anyone else!

Ben and Jonna

We have had the pleasure of getting to know Ben and Jonna in the last year that they have lived in Stockholm. They have been to our home many times and we have enjoyed their company. They are such a sweet and cute couple! Ben and Jonna were also Jaxon's Activity Day leaders and they were so loving and kind to the kids. We will miss them now that they are moving to Copenhagen.

Jonna is a singer/songwriter and has produced some great music. I had the privilege of attending one of her performances recently in Stockholm. Her music is awesome!

We love being their neighbors and fortunately, after our move, 

we will only be a few minutes away.

Dancer Darby

Darby had a dance recital at Oscarteatern in the city.  

This show was so far my favorite of all her performances in Stockholm. 

I neglected to get a photo of Lana and Aisa who also came to support Darby. Thanks guys!

Jaxon performs surgery!

Jaxon did a science project on cataract surgery. He came to Aaron's work to learn about the product that Abbott makes that is used during the surgery. He had fun working in the wet lab and seeing how the surgery is done.

Jaxon- Basketball

Through Stockholm International School's after school activities, Jaxon has been playing basketball every Tuesday afternoon. It has been a nice way for Jaxon to get some of his energy out and hang out with some of his friends.

Recently, they had a tournament with several other schools in the area. Jaxon had a great time and proved to be a pretty good player as well! Go Jaxon!!!
