Alex visits us / Jaxon flies the dang plane!

My cousin Alex came down from New Jersey to spend the weekend with us. 

On Friday night we went to a walking ghost tour in St Augustine.

We heard a story about Henry Flagler's wife, Ida.

The next day we met up with Bill Herrington to take us flying in his plane. Bill had 

heard how much Jaxon likes to fly and so he invited us to join him on a 

beautiful Saturday morning. Jaxon was really excited! Since Alex was also visiting 

with us, he was able to come too which made the outing even more fun.

Bill took some time first to show Jaxon how to take care of the plane and
what to look for each time you fly. Safety first!!!

That afternoon, we took Alex to the beach with us. Here is a photo of Jaxon on his board. 

We ended up having a very nice visit with Alex and I am so glad that he came down. 

Next stop for him was visiting Aunt Joan. 

First day of school 2018

This cutie, for the very first time, is starting his first day of school all alone. Melynn is no longer in high school so that means that Jaxon is the last one! Not sure if I should be happy or sad. Ok who am I kidding. I am thrilled!
Good Luck Jaxon on a great Sophomore year! We love you!

Lazy days of Summer 2018

Well, I don't know about Lazy. For me this was a "seminary nesting" period. I was getting busy going through and organizing every square inch of the house knowing that once school started I would not have time to do those kind of things. However, I could not be selfish with my time so we got plenty of beach days in. Jaxon was having fun with his new surfboard and skim board.

Girls trip to Texas!

Melynn and I flew to San Antonio, Texas to meet up with Ashtyn and Charles. 

They picked us up around noon and after checking into our hotel in 

downtown, we cruised around the city. The next day we ventured to Sea World and then drove back to Victoria that evening. We loved spending time with them in their new town.

While we were in Victoria, Ashtyn had an appointment with the inspector for the house she was buying. Luckily that gave me a chance to get a look at their beautiful new home. What a surprise to find out it came with 6 chickens! Charles likes to tell them what to do. They have a huge yard and a cute coop behind the shed.
