2020 didn't start off so well

On January 10th, Jaxon got into a car accident. He was driving on Racetrack road when a women did not yield on a left hand turn and ran right into Jaxon. Jaxon had just dropped off a friend at her house and was taking another friend home. Fortunately everyone was okay, though Sierra did have to go to the ER because her leg was injured. She had to use crutches for a couple of weeks.

New Years Eve 2019!

We were invited to the Alomia's for a New Years Eve party. I honestly expected that we would stay for a couple of hours and then come home around 10pm. WE ARE NOT NIGHT PEOPLE! But we actually stayed till midnight and had a wonderful time.
After a delicious dinner, we all gathered around their big fire pit in the big backyard.

Bro. Alomia explaining the Año Viejo to us.

Año Viejo is a tradition that symbolically burns up the failures, regrets and anger of the old year in order to usher in the hopes and resolutions of the new one. On the last day of the year, people construct effigies that might represent an irritating person, a disliked political figure, or even disappointment about past mistakes or unachieved goals.
The Woodruff's brought this "person" that represented this past years struggle with  Annette's cancer and treatments that  she went through. It was such a tough year for them and I am so glad that she is now in remission.
Then the item that represented "the bad stuff" is thrown into the fire while everyone claps and cheers!
We brought some pretty cool fireworks for the kids to play with.!
Love you so much Aaron! Looking forward to another year with you!

Joan and Roxanne visit

Joan and Roxanne drove up from Palm Coast to visit with us for a few hours. It is always entertaining when they come over! I am so blessed to live close to Aunt Joan and have loved getting to know her better.

Christmas in Gulfport, MS

Mom sold her house and decided to buy one closer to the water in Long Beach, MS. So over the holiday we drove to mom's to help pack her up as well as celebrate Christmas together.
Such a beautiful Christmas tree!

We went to a local bed and breakfast for a festive Christmas dinner.
