Our family took a trip to Hong Kong for the Chinese New Year school break. We flew in late on a Friday night. On Saturday, the next morning, we had an appointment for the kids to do baptisms at the temple. I love the feeling I get when I visit the temple and I love to
share that with my family. It was the perfect way to start our vacation.
Seeing this small sign posted by the doorway hit me in a very profound way.
It was a reminder to me that God's love is always available to us.
Next item in our day...Disneyland!
Disneyland has its own MTR line that feeds into the park.
Notice the hand rails and the windows look like Mickey.
We were worried that the park was going to be very crowded. We were thrilled to find out that the lines were not that bad and we did not have to wait very long.

We stayed for the night parade and then the last half hour that the park was open we quickly ran to some more rides to take advantage of the short lines...really like "No lines".
On Sunday morning we attended church and then afterwards we found
a great hamburger place across the street from our hotel.
I am always in the mood for a good hamburger!
We took the Star Ferry across Victoria Harbour.
Jaxon started getting sick so we ended up leaving him in the hotel room while the rest of us
took the Ferry across and then visited Victoria Peak. Poor Jaxon :(

Every night at 8pm the lights come on in the city for a 15 minute laser light show.
Melynn also ended up getting sick so on Monday we all just took it easy.
We walked through the neighborhood a bit and saved our energy for the parade that
evening. Photo above is from the Harbour City mall, the largest mall in Hong Kong.
We had purchased parade tickets in advance through a tour company. The tickets also came with a Chinese dinner. Here we are at our table which was the best spot to be in at the restaurant! We had front row viewing of the main stage area for the parade.

After our meal they took all of the ticket holders down to the seating area.
We were in great seats! The only problem was that it was very cold outside.
