Jaxon's middle school play

Jaxon was involved with Drama for an after school activity. He loved it.
This past quarter they performed in "Masquerade Mystery"
About half of these costumes were provided by us.
We get more use out of our old Halloween costumes!

It is so fun to watch Jaxon on stage because he is so funny and creative in his acting.

Spartan Race in Kuala Lumpur

Aaron and several of his co-workers decided to participate in the Spartan race that was to be held in KL. At the last minute Aaron asked if I would drive down with him. It was a quick weekend but at least I got some good photos. It looked like a pretty tough race.

At some points the trail was so narrow that you could not pass each other. Here Aaron was forced to walk and I am sure that did not make him happy.
While waiting for Aaron to cross the finish line, I noticed a man in one of the obstacles with only one arm. Amazing and inspirational! You can see Aaron in the blue shirt at the top climbing over.

Aaron ended up finishing 2nd in his age group.
After he crossed the finish line we waited for the rest of his colleagues.

 Congratulations Spartans!

Crazy Day at school

The kids enjoyed getting CRAZY as they dressed for school.
Melynn out pink food coloring mixed with hair gel in everyone's hair.
Melynn tested it out the night before in a small section
of her own hair to make sure it did not stain!

Haze Band Concert

Jaxon recently participated in the middle school concert.
He played 3 songs with his alto saxophone for his middle school band and also
played a couple of songs for the jazz band group he is a part of.
They called the performance the "Haze Band Concert" as a joke because recently we have had lots of haze and school was even closed last week for a day because of it.

Jaxon had a solo part with his jazz band but I had no idea so I didn't
have my camera or my recorder ready.

Melynn with friends

Melynn asked if she could have some friends over recently. It just makes me so happy to see her transitioning well here and that she is making some really nice friends.

Monitor Lizards...yikes!

A few weeks ago, from our condo on the 25th floor, I noticed this long skinny moving
thing as I was looking out the window and down at the shoreline.
Ever since that time, as I look out each day,  I have noticed them more and more.
One time Aaron was home and he was so fascinated by what these were that he came
down to get a closer look and take some photos.
