Fine Arts Festival Week

Just up the road from where we live is the Penang PAC. This stands for performing arts centre. Each year the Dalat school hosts a week full of performances and displays put on by the students at the PAC. My kids were involved in some of the weeks activities. Jaxon's 6th grade band performed on one of the evenings. Darby's theatre group performed 3 different times during the week as well.

Darby had a very busy week since her group had tons of rehearsals and 

several performances of the production, "A Tad of Trouble".

Melynn's Wonderland Project

Every 9th grader that attends Dalat International School has to participate in the 

Wonderland Project. This means that each student has the opportunity to 

find a place where they can donate at least 10 hours of their time in the community. 

Melynn grouped up with some of her friends and helped at the Cheshire Home. 

The Cheshire Home is a place to assist the physically disabled.

Melynn and her friends helped by cross stitching many different designs on fabric so that they could be sewn on pouches and then sold to raise money for the Cheshire Home.

for her own living expenses.

Melynn plays softball

It has been several years since Melynn has played softball. She was sad to not have the opportunity to play in Sweden but thankfully she got her chance here in Malaysia. At Dalat International School they have a team and they were thrilled when Melynn tried out!

Aaron and I were able to see Melynn's last games of the season.
