Visiting friends in the panhandle

Crazy coincidence! Aaron and I had already made plans to drive to Miramar Beach to spend a couple of days with Matt, Alisha, Alec and his family while they were on a short family vacay. Alec is earning his PhD at Georgia Tech so it was within driving distance for him.

Lo and behold, we then learned that the Nilsen's would also be in the panhandle at the exact same time!!!! So we left earlier than scheduled so that we could spend half the day in Panama City with Mark, Keri, Heather, Spencer and kids. They were in town for Spencer's Half Iron Man race!

So overjoyed that we could visit with the awesome Nilsen clan!

Then it was time to head more west to Miramar Beach.

It took us a total of 5 hours to drive from our house to Miramar Beach but so worth it!
Aaron and I were able to have dinner with the Hammond family Sunday and Monday night but during the day on Monday, Aaron stayed inside to work. I, however, had no complaints enjoying the beautiful weather with these folks:)
Alisha offered to take anniversary pics for Aaron and I so stay tuned for those...

MoPro 2021

May 15, 2021 was MoPro. For those that don't get the joke, it means Mormon Prom. It has become a tradition in many parts of the United States, and perhaps elsewhere, that the Stake Youth leadership plan a prom type event for our youth. It gives these kids an opportunity to dress up and participate in a special event. For me personally, I find it better than High School prom because of the safe and more positive environment. Jaxon has attended this once before.

This year Jaxon did things a bit different....Jaxon picked up Emma at her house and had a few photos taken there. Then they went to the Post's house for group photos with their friends. After that....well, Jaxon and Emma went to the beach to eat pizza while the other kids went to the church for a dinner. However, Jaxon and Emma went to the Alomia's house for the after party where there was more food and dancing.

Yep. That was the plan all along :/

Jaxon's final Jazz Concert/ YM Activity

In May Jaxon had his very last jazz performance with Bartram Trail High School. Other than graduation, this will be the final time that Aaron and I attend a school related event for one of our kids.

The next day was Cinco de Mayo so Jaxon invited the young men in his church group over
to our house for tacos. I love these boys that Jaxon hangs out with. Good Kids!

Left to right....Jared, Jaxon, Emett, Keegan, Emilio

After the activity, Keegan stayed back so Aaron could help him and Jaxon with Stats prep:)
