Fine Arts Week 2017

Towards the end of every school year, Dalat holds Fine Arts Week. This is the time 

when the Penang Performing Arts Center is rented out for over a week and the 

school showcases Dalat's talented students. Jaxon played alto sax in the middle 

school band and then the following night he played guitar for Jazz band. The next evening 

Darby performed in two shows for the high school musical performance. 

 The billboard below was to promote the upcoming production.

 You can see Darby on the cover of the playbill above. She and her friend Susan did all the choreography work in the program. They were also the lead dancers and performed in several acts. I nearly cried as I realized that this would be Darby's last performance while living at home. 

JSB 2017

JSB! The biggest event of the year for the sophomores, juniors and seniors! 

It is equal to prom in the United States.

Melynn's junior class was the host of the night. They performed in a skit to kickoff the 

JSB season a couple of weeks prior to the big night.

Melynn has been very fortunate to have made some close friends while we have 

lived in Malaysia. Kayla and Grace have been such sweet and kind girls and 

I am so happy that the three of them had each other! 

Manila, Philippines

Darby and Melynn travelled to Manila with their soccer team for the ACSC tournament. They were very excited about the trip because they love their teammates and coaches! 

The girls ended up placing 4th in the 8 team tournament.
