Initiating the balcony

Some of the kids invited a few friends over and so we roasted marshmallows
on our balcony and made smores :)
 Tate brought out his Ukulele!
Jaxon with his friends Tate and Joel.
Darby with her friends Noah, Jonathan and Aaron.

Aaron- the new Abbott celebrity

Aaron was in a video being made for the Asia Pacific Sales Meeting for Abbott.

Aaron is thinking...Can we get this over with?!

Colm and Mechelle Wedding

We had the privilege of attending the wedding of one of Aaron's co-workers, Colm O'Toole.
He and his wife, Mechelle, were married at the Church of the Immaculate
Conception in Penang.  Later that afternoon we attended their reception
at the Park Royal Hotel in Batu Ferringhi.

Colm and Mechelle asked Jaxon if he would perform some magic for the kids before
the reception started. Here is Jaxon with his audience.

Christmas time 2015

The month of December is always a busy yet fun time of year. Besides the Abbott Annual Dinner for Aaron and the Christmas Banquet for Darby and Melynn, Jaxon had participated in the Middle School Christmas Concert. It is great to see how he improves.

Lots of class parties going in this month and Melynn made these
cute looking cookies for her Spanish class.

Aaron and I get to celebrate our Birthdays in December. We spent our birthday money from my Dad to get us a new patio set. We enjoy our balcony a lot more now.
We had a branch Christmas party and the Missionaries helped as the big
Santa himself along with some elves :)

From left to right...Aaron, Melynn, Jaxon, Darby, Sister Crandall (Chesterfield, Idaho), Sister Roberts (Cottonwood Heights, UT), Sister Amat (from Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia and waiting for visa so she can get to the Provo MTC and then serve in Canada), Elder Knight (Grantsville, UT),  Elder Young (Green River, WY), Elder Wade (West Jordan, UT),
Elder Harker (Syracuse, UT).
Melynn was wanting some Christmas pajamas to wear on Christmas Eve
so she made herself this shirt to wear.
Christmas morning, before the kids were all awake, I took some photos of our
decorated holiday home.

This is the gingerbread house that Melynn and her friend Rana made at Melynn's party.

We always have cinnamon rolls for breakfast.
I use part of the dough I used for making dinner rolls from the night before.

We have no fireplace so our stockings go on our kitchen shelves.

We had the sister missionaries over for breakfast the morning after Christmas so that they could Skype with their families. It was an honor to provide our home to them.
It brought tears to my eyes to watch and listen to their enthusiasm as they
connected with their loved ones. What beautiful sacrifice these young women are making!
