5th grade International Dinner and UN Day at SIS.

The 5th grade classes put on an international dinner for the families of all the 5th grade students. I must admit that I do not get real excited for school events because it often just adds stress to my life as I pile on "one more thing" to the calendar. However, I was pleasantly surprised about what a nice evening it turned out to be and am so glad that I went!

All of the families were invited to bring a dish to share.
The 5th graders ate first so that they could be ready to perform for us.
The kids ate in a separate room due to space issues.

Time for dessert!
My contribution to the evening….Pumpkin Bread!
The two 5th grade classes make up 38 students that represent 19 countries!!!
In typical Jaxon form, he was quite a ham that evening :)
The following week the school celebrated their annual United Nations Day. The kids come to school dressed in something representing their native country and then they parade around in the groups.

I love this photo!
